Tavie - cable cardigan

It is finally finished! There was some serious work in this pattern writing, but I am really happy now that it is all done. The knitting was easy thing to do and I decided to do two versions of this pattern and the both versions (long/short sleeved, long/short cardigan) are both included in the pattern.
A few words about the construction: This is a top-down cardigan as usual and seamless, of course. There is only a small amount of stitches to pick up and knit from the saddle shoulder pieces and underarm. The rest is just knit, purl and some cables. The saddles for shoulders are worked first, then stitches for yoke are picked up and knitted from saddle pieces and cast on for back neck. Sleeve shaping follows contiguous method developed by Susie Myers (SusieM on Ravelry). After the yoke, sleeve stitches are left on holder and body worked first. After that sleeves are worked in the round and finally neckband and button band stitches are picked up and knitted. In my cardigans I placed the buttons by knitting and I did added my tutorial links for that technique in the pattern.
Short sleeved version is perfect for warmer weather and the jacket-like design makes it almost an overcoat for spring and fall seasons.
The yarn used in the short sleeved sample is Malabrigo Rios and the yarn in long cardigan is Knitlob's Lair Pohjan Akka.
Vihdoin nämä takit ovat julkaisuvalmiit. Ohjeessa oli aikamoinen kirjoittaminen, mutta viimein se on viimeistelty. Päätin tehdä takista kaksi versiota ja kirjoittaa molempiin ohjeet samaan ohjeeseen.
Takki on neulottu ylhäältä alas ja on saumaton. Satulaolkapäät jatkuvat kaarrokkeessa contiguous-metodilla tehtyihin hihoihin. Hihat erotetaan ja vartalo neulotaan ensin, jonka jälkeen hihat neulotaan pyörönä. Pääntie huolitellaan ainaoikeinneuleella ja nappilistan silmukat poimitaan etukappaleiden reunoista. Napit olen kiinnittänyt neuloen, linkit tekniikkaan löytyy myös ohjeesta.
